Growing a cottage garden, one plant at a time...

Hi, my name is Laura Boissonnault. I live in Southern New Jersey, Zone 7a. I am a Rutgers Master Gardener in training. My love of gardening began as a child, where my parents raised me in a home that cultivated a true appreciation for gardens. My husband Marc and I love to travel. Some of my favorite places visited include England, Paris, Scotland, and Italy, where my garden love has flourished. It has been my passion to take a slice of that beauty and recreate it in a small garden space in our own back yard. My husband graduated from Drexel University as an architect major, and his feedback and keen eye has truly been beneficial. I’m a proud Mom of two boys, and I hope to pass this love of the garden along to them. I enjoy home decorating, restoring and maintaining the beauty of our 1920 Colonial, which was featured in Country Sampler Magazine. By trade, I’m a freelance Web Developer with over 20 years in the field.I collect salt glazed pottery, and love historic elements and antique pieces. Please join me on my journey of creating a cottage style retreat.
